Smile Jacks...
Here is a little video from this week. Auntie Em has been helping out with the last week of tonsil & adenoid removal recovery. Don't let the video fool you, Jacks has had a blast with lots of playtime, laughs, popsicles, and only 1 frown.

Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas everyone!
We're sorry that nobody has gotten Christmas cards from us this year. We ordered some cards online and they showed up two weeks ago with another family's picture! The company promised quick replacements, but they still haven't shown up.

Anyway, Jacks had a big Christmas morning opening Santa's gifts. He was actually speechless (for once) when he saw all of the gifts under the tree. I think his favorites are a Thomas the Train Power Wheels and a remote control truck.

The great escape
So, Jacks has figured out how to escape his crib. Joanna had just laid him down for his afternoon nap when we heard a big thud. She ran back into his room and he was sitting on the floor. We have a thick blanket on the floor now for padding, in case he decides to have a repeat performance tonight Looks like we may be moving to a toddler bed soon...

First Haircut
So, Jacks finally got his first haircut this past weekend. I've been trying to talk Joanna into cutting his afro/mullet for a while, but she couldn't stand to cut his curls. Anyway, she finally agreed and we went to get a haircut. Jacks was really pretty good sitting in my lap while the lady cut his hair

NC State Tailgating
We made it down to Raleigh a couple of weeks ago for the NC State vs. Virginia Tech game. Too bad the game didn't end differently, but we all had a lot of fun tailgating and Jacks really enjoyed the crowd and the game too!

Lazy Evening
It rained all day today, but we had a fun evening. Joanna and Jacks danced for a while, then we had to make obligatory shampoo mohawks in the bathtub.

Do you want to be a Tarheel??
We had a big storm roll through last night, so we pulled out the video camera while we were all stuck inside. Jacks is very smart for an 18 month old...already able to answer simple yes/no questions correctly (granted, it is a very easy question):
After the rain stopped, we had to go out and splash in the puddles.

Sharkfest
This past weekend we went to Sharkfest at the Calvert Marine Museum (along with the rest of Southern MD!). Jacks enjoyed the turtles, blue crabs, and touching sharks. After a long wait in line to touch the sharks, Jacks had a case of the giggles on the way home. Thankfully we got home before he passed out for his afternoon nap.

Week in Corolla - Part 2
Here are a couple of videos from the beach last week. Jacks really loved the beach...it was flat and smooth so he could just run non-stop.
Suprisingly, Jacks wasn't afraid of the surf at all. He loved splashing his feet in each wave that came up.
And of course, we had to break out the bubbles for him one afternoon.
